What do you do when you’re writing, and it just sucks? I was writing something I started months ago, well, I was continuing it, and came to a period and just felt like it was just dumb. What do you do? I won’t abandon it. That’s for sure. It’ll be archived, and I’ll let it sit like it matters, which it kind of does, because it’s likely a starter for something else. I’ve written stories like that, starting them with something I thought wasn’t that good, and it turns into something else.
The first novel I ever attempted in college didn’t become anything. I actually need to check if I still have that MS. My second attempt of a novel came to a halt, then picked up after scrapping the latter half, adding a new half. But what I just wrote was crappy, and involved a robbery of a Long Island grocery store. I’m not sure what I can do with it, but I want to know what some of you do with pieces like that. Tell me.
