It’s a joy when you’ve been writing to the point that the laptop battery dies. I don’t know what that would equate to for the writer that uses a typewriter. I don’t know what it’s like to use one. As a person of the electronic age, I know that’s a good time to stop writing (thinking of Hemingway’s description of knowing when to stop writing from A Moveable Feast). It’s also a good time to get that period of rest, while the laptop charges back up, and your mind freshens up, or recharges, to lay another bomb on the pages, explosive and all.
